2021 SPRING AND SUMMER SUNGLASSES TRENDS

Like many other seasonal trends, eyewear trends are generally not as hot as in previous seasons. But the reduction of glasses does not mean the reduction of creativity. In fact, the sunglasses for spring 2021 are one of the coolest sunglasses we have ever seen.

Big sunglasses
Big glasses are charming, mysterious and protective, which is why celebrities and ordinary people like to wear big glasses.

Celine’s models wore large black lens sunglasses and pulled their baseball caps low to look like plainclothes stars. Dolce & Gabbana’s oversized sunglasses this season are covered from forehead to cheek. They are square and round to increase diversity. We have seen more large sunglasses in brands such as Chloe, Ports 1961, Francesca Liberatore and Fendi.

Goggles

Some brands have taken oversized sunglasses to a new level, launching summer 2021 sunglasses similar to sun visors, which can provide comprehensive protection.

Wien collaborated with Polaroid to showcase the stylish black sun hat. Sun hats provide a lot of protection for the upper part of the face, and we think that when you want to cover the entire face, they will be great when combined with a sun hat.

Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini’s sunglasses are inspired by the lens hood, and the single-lens design covers the upper part of the face. However, they are not real sun visors because they do not expose their noses, but still have some unique eyewear elements such as nose pads and metal frames.

Finally, at Fendi, we saw a hybrid sunglasses similar to an aviator sun visor, large sunglasses with a very straight top edge and round lenses.

Brown glasses

Brown lenses are a modest sunglasses trend, which allows you to enjoy a softer look while protecting your eyes.

We really like Boramy Viguier’s sunglasses, which are soft in color and a little retro. The frame is square and silver, and the eyes can be seen through the brown lenses.

We also saw a combination of a brown lens and a metal frame in Balmain, but this time, the golden frame matches the warmth of the lens, giving a soft and harmonious feeling.

If you like plastic frames, you can let Anna Sui glasses give you inspiration! The light-colored transparent frames with soft brown round lenses look very cute.

Yellow lens

From the trend of summer sunglasses in 2021, we have seen the perfect yellow lens! Yellow lenses have a 90’s feel in history, but these sunglasses just give people a summer and modern feel, and they have a characteristic feature. Warm effect.

At Ports 1961, we especially liked a pair of oversized sunglasses. The tortoiseshell round frame and yellow lenses set off the yellow characteristic of tortoiseshell. Most of Hugo Boss glasses lenses are pitch black, but one pair of sunglasses is designed to be elongated, and the yellow acetate frame is perfectly matched with the yellow lenses.

We found more yellow lenses in Tod’s and Salvatore Ferragamo.

Black glasses

People who like low-key will like this trend of glasses.

We saw several different styles of sunglasses in Balenciaga, including small size and oversized frames, but they all have one thing in common, that is, pure black lenses that completely cover the eyes.

For something more glamorous, you might like Chanel sunglasses with a cat-eye-shaped silver frame with black lenses. The model wears black lensed “wayfarer” sunglasses and a face mask.

Sports sunglasses

Sporty sunglasses are the perfect complement to the sportswear we see on the runway. Their casual and stylish atmosphere is perfect for sportswear.

On the show, Marine Serre’s sports sunglasses matched the ninja atmosphere of the series. The slightly thicker plastic frame and colored lenses have a strange futuristic feel.

Rick Owens (Rick Owens) showed the sports version of the “Cyclops” sunglasses. The frame is black or white, but has black lenses. The frame is long and has a slight dent on the bridge of the nose.

We noticed a pair of sports sunglasses from Burberry, which has a very special touch. This design looks like two separate acetate frames: an upturned, angled white frame with a more square, clearer design on top.

Cat glasses frame

A pair of cat-eye sunglasses exudes retro charm, and the spring 2021 eyewear trend adds fresh colors and modern weirdness to them.

Drome’s cat-eye sunglasses have a geometric sense, because they do not have a soft round frame, but use small lines to create more angular and sharper cat eyes. We also like Givenchy’s 80s style, heavy plastic sunglasses with a slightly oversized cat-eye shape!

Brands such as Hugo Boss, Saint Laurent and Genny also have cat-eye sunglasses.

White frame

The white frame is memorable and iconic. They immediately reminiscent of a series of celebrities from the past, such as Kurt Cobain and Audrey Hepburn. We are always looking forward to seeing white sunglasses on the catwalk!

This season, the most memorable pair may come from Genny, who has eye-catching big round cat eyes and contrasting black frames. At Etro, we saw a cool, padded white frame design. The bridge and the place where the frame connects to the lens are all golden.

Even in Miu Miu, this season’s long rectangular design also has a white frame option.

Color frame

In the warm season, there are always things that make us want to have fun and play with colors. That’s why we show you the trend of more colorful glasses.

First, at Versace, we are excited about oversized glasses with bright neon frames, tinted lenses, and unique Takahashi. This trend combination is flashy and ideal for dramatic style.

If you like colors, but prefer a softer look, you will like Salvatore Ferragamo glasses. This sunglasses uses a futuristic semi-rimmed design with a soft green, yellow or blue acetate frame.

At Miu Miu, a youthful collection is completed by adding rectangular sunglasses with bright orange or blue frames.

Aviator sunglasses

Aviator glasses are classic glasses. For the sunglasses trend in the spring of 2021, we have seen a lot of cooler tricks in classic designs.

Thom Browne’s sunglasses are the main iconic product of the season. Their design style is mainly aviator style, with golden frames and matching golden mirror lenses-we think this style will have a wide range of appeal due to its charming uniqueness.

In Max Mara, the aviator glasses we saw had the lens slightly pulled inward, with a super high top bridge, which added a unique effect. We saw more cool pilots in Tod’s, Tom Ford and Versace.

Lengthen glasses

If you don’t want the glasses to cover your face, choose one of these! They make your face look smooth and slim without taking up too much space.

We saw a slightly rounded, slender shape in Koche, which was a smooth but not overly sharp appearance, contrasting with the clear acetate frame of dark lenses. In Hugo Boss (Hugo Boss), Burberry (Burberry) and Lanvin (Lanvin), there are more extended glasses.

At Miu Miu, most sunglasses are rectangular in design with thicker frames. Our favorite pair combines a slender shape with a lot of crystals, which looks interesting and feminine.

Geometric glasses

If you want a very wild glasses shape, look at geometric sunglasses! These sunglasses break the tradition and have a new shape.

The most impressive is Valentino! There is a pair of semi-frameless designs and four-sided shapes. The lens looks a bit inclined inward, the outer edge is the longest, and the design is truly unique.

At Lanvin, geometric shapes are combined with incredible elegance. These sunglasses combine the best cat eye glasses.
